The American Association of Individual Investors poll was recently released with a bullish reading of 55.88 percent versus 17.65 percent bearish. The figures show an increasingly optimistic bend in the marketplace, as last week's poll registered readings of 47 percent bullish and 28 percent bearish. Other notable sentiment data is the current average equity allocation of Wall Street Strategists, which stands at an all-time high of 71.6 percent. Also of note was data that came out this weekend in the Barron's Big Money Poll, where 67 percent of respondents considered themselves "bullish" or "very bullish" through next June. Shockingly despite the recent terrible price action in the broad market Barron's reported this was the highest level of investor optimism seen in years!

71.42 pct- быки. На 29.10 было 81.29 pct.

предлагаю след абзац from Richard Schabaker's Stock Market Profits, published in 1934:

"If one group of operators makes a living out of trading, then some other group must provide those profits. If the 'inside element' buys when everyone else is buying, there will be no one left to sell to later on. The professional must, therefore, buy when the public is selling and sell when the public is buying in order to realize his profit. A proper understanding of this simple piece of logic is at the bottom of trading success and the basis for the equally important consideration that the market does not always do what seems most logical or what the 'public' expects it to do."
